Our Story

Founded by a small group of Arkansas natives in 2019, The Source has been through many evolutions, starting off in a 2,000 square foot ex-liquor store in Bentonville and ultimately landing in a single, 20,000 square foot facility located in Rogers, Arkansas.

Our facility houses a deli-style dispensary, as well as a state-of-the-art boutique cultivation facility, where we flower only 50 plants at a time. Upstairs, we have a craft kitchen, where we developed an original gummy recipe made with real fruit purees and free of artificial dyes. A synergy between our cultivation, lab, and dispensary allows us to create artful products made with you in mind.

Our cannabis dispensary located in Rogers, the heart of Northwest Arkansas, is unlike any other in the region. With our state of the art facility, we are now located right off the interstate for more accessibility. Our bright and colorful 21,000 square foot building is home to one of the state's only deli-style dispensaries. Inside, you will also find our head shop, Headwaters Provision, where anyone 21 years of age and older can shop for a variety of cannabis accessories from papers, glass, e-vaporizers, and more.

Besides the welcoming environment our friendly budtenders create, our dispensary exhibits an open atmosphere as soon as you walk in the doors. Upon entering the dispensary, you’ll walk into our spacious lobby with comfortable seating and cannabis-related reading material available while you wait.

Growing great flower is small feat: it requires years of close observation, careful testing, research, and repetition in the “pheno hunt” to yield genetics with fine-tuned medicinal effects. Cultivation of each strain of cannabis is a slow process that requires years of dedication and research to express the nuanced traits we’re looking for in medicinal cannabis—not just THC content, but also terpenes and other dimensions.

At The Source, we are led by a Head Grower, Ari Pascoe, who balances science with intuition. Her philosophy involves excellent record-keeping, data-driven decision-making, while maintaining a closeness with the plants that can only be considered a relationship. She listens and responds, which results in a high quality flower product, which you can only purchase at The Source under the brand, In The Flow.

Not only is our flower top of the line, but we also put the very best into our vape cartridges, concentrates, gummies, and other products. You will find zero vitamin E, propylene glycol, acetone, or other dangerous additives in any of our vape cartridges; we are proud to exclusively produce our vape pen distillates with naturally-derived terpenes, the “essential oil” compounds that give cannabis its scent and flavor. The terpenes are extracted and refined using advanced subcritical and supercritical CO2 technology, then combined with THC concentrate to create our full line of vape cart options (including the budget-friendly options!).

We call our back of house operations our “Apothecary,” because we take the same holistic, hands-on approach to crafting cannabis products as the apothecaries of the past. We are dedicated to researching and developing cutting-edge flavors that bring out the best of our proprietary formula, free of artificial dyes and sweetened naturally with agave nectar and beet root sugar. 

The Source started small in August 2019, coinciding with the launch of Arkansas's medical marijuana program. Instead of expanding laterally, we chose to grow like a tree, deepening our roots in Northwest Arkansas. In June 2023, we elevated our commitment to the community when our budtenders and marketing team collaboratively developed the Tip Match program, launching a new era of giving back.

Our program creates a ripple effect of positivity while ensuring our budtenders are valued for their excellent service. Each month, we partner with a local nonprofit organization. On our busiest day of the month, our team starts by learning about the cause, becoming ambassadors for the nonprofit. Throughout the day, we share their mission with our customers (typically 500-600 people). While our budtenders keep 100% of their tips, The Source matches the total amount with a donation to our nonprofit partner.

As a locally-owned business, we have supported our local communities from the beginning by partnering with designers, artists, and creatives in Northwest Arkansas. We work with local artists to create The Source-branded stickers and t-shirts, as well as to create the signature murals in our dispensary (stop by the store to take a look!). We treat these collaborations as opportunities to support artists on their individual journeys by giving them creative freedom in their designs—our mission is to continue to foster creativity as often as possible.
